Atenas De Taboada, DMD

Dr. Atenas De Taboada was born & raised in Venezuela & Spain. She earned her first dental Dental Degree at Santa María University in Venezuela before moving to the United States in 2014. She went on to complete the IDG program at Nova Southeastern College of Dentistry, as well as two training sessions in hands-on dental implantology in San Diego & Tijuana with Implant Accelerator.

Dr. De Taboada spent almost three years in Northern New Mexico, 45 min away from the city of Durango, Colorado, where she practiced general dentistry. After 2.5 years there, she decided it was best to return to the place she considers home: Florida. Having a baby also made this a good time to return to close friends & family.

Ever since she was a young girl, Dr. De Taboada dreamed of being a dentist. “Even after having some terrible experiences with my dentist, I still wanted to help & interact with people. As I got older, I realized dental treatments don’t have to be unpleasant experiences. This is why I focus on making patients feel comfortable & safe,” she says.

In her free time, she likes to hang out with her toddler Sienna, her crazy dog Sahara & her husband Linds. She also likes to work out & garden, though her all time favorite thing to do is head to the beach, soak up the sun & plunge in the water!
